Our Windy City Vacation

Chicago. My absolute favorite city. I used to dream about living in a cute little townhouse in the city, walking distance from the advertising agency where I worked and just an L stop away from all the adventures of the city. Life didn't quite turn out that way so I will take a vacation here and there to get my fill.



This time last year we were jetting off on our babymoon, crazy how much difference a year makes.  This year Chicago marked our first trip away from Molly. And while we spent countless hours looking at photos and videos of her while we were gone we did manage to have lots of fun. And take lots of naps.

I decided to document our trip to Chicago with photos rather than words...



































And oh yea, this happened. Within 2 hours of getting there. No baby? Nap please!



While we were away Molly was in good hands with her g'parents. She takes it with cream - 2 sugars.




We had so much fun. We can't wait to go back! Next time with Molly in tow.

T-Minus 20 Hours

It's almost time. We will be jetting off to Chicago sans baby (you can read all about my emotional breakdown here) to enjoy some time together and hang out with good friends and family.

Our flight takes off tomorrow morning at 5:30am and I am excited to get out of town, get out of the heat and spend some quality time with my husband in my favorite city.

We will be doing really fun things like concerts in the park, Chicago Cubs game, architectural boat tour, beach time and much more. Oh and the food, don't get me started.

Say a little prayer that we can survive 5 long days without our little girl and have fun.
