Bike Accident
He bought me a mountain bike over a year ago and we started riding together.
This past weekend we headed out to one of the trails we visit pretty frequently, Bluff Creek. It is classified as an advanced trail and has some good downhills, some steep climbs and some drops that sneak up on you.
I went down hard for my third time. Hit one of the drops incorrectly and went flying off my bike. Hit my head pretty hard, got a mouthful of dirt, scraped up my knee and got a nice strawberry on my thigh. I couldn't help but drop the F bomb at least a dozen times in about 45 seconds.
I must admit though, I felt like a badass as I finished the trail ride with blood on my leg and dirt all over me.

Car Bombs and Apples
Liz designed these awesome invites that I mailed out. (yep, snail mail)
The festivities included some awesome Patty's Day decorations (50-75% off, luxury of having a post holiday party), green beer, some YouTube leprachaun videos and more.
The night started off with a row of Irish Car bombs!
Ready - set - drop!
Liz had no problem downing hers...
Neither did my brother Alex...
But Kathleen on the other hand...
She struggled a little bit.
After car bombs we all gathered round for a LOUD and animated game of Apples to Apples.
A few of us even saw the dancing leprachauns...in the trees!
Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Sean Cummings
A few months ago my family and I checked out a tiny hole in the wall Irish pub called Sean Cummings. They have great traditional Irish fare and a lovely cozy atmosphere. This past Tuesday, on St. Patrick's Day some friends and I decided to check it out.
It was a little crazy and they took up the parking lot with tents and beer vendors but it was a good green time.
Looking forward to going back for some fish and chips soon.

March Madness
The second best part of March Madness is the bracket. 64 games where you get to use whatever crazy method you may have to take your best shot at picking the winner. Sometimes you even get rewarded for your spot on choices.
Third Degree, where I work, is getting in on this Madness by hosting its own office bracket pool. I took charge and organized the competition and am looking forward to see who comes out on top. (It will probably be Caroline, the novice always wins.)
Enjoy the season, it only happens once a year!

Day in Norman
This Saturday we went to Norman.
I went to school at OU and we used to hit the Norman shops all the time. We realized that since I graduated we had not made it to Norman in over a year. We mapped out all our usual destinations and hit I-35 South.
First stop, Campus Corner. We checked out some of the awesome clothing and accessory boutiques.
Next we headed down Main Street for some sandwiches and soup bowls at one of our fav restaurants, Bison Witches.
After filling our stomachs we headed to our favorite place in the entire WORLD, Super Target. Great times indeed.
After Super Target we hit I-35 North back home to 23rd Street and treated ourselves to some delicious pastry treats at Cuppies and Joe.
Thanks Mom for a great Saturday. It wouldn't be the same with anybody else.

Long distance relationship romance.
Phone pic
The infamous Mohawk. It lasted less than 48 hours.
Ski Party...another date party.
Whew, my hair is dark.
And here is a recent one from this past weekend.

Patio Lunches
Sometimes its my own front porch with friends and other times its hitting up a local hot spot here in town. Example, The Wedge 2 in Deep Deuce. A slice of pizza, a Stella draft and good company all coupled with some sun and a nice cool air breeze.
Whatever the rhyme or reason it is always therapeutic.

Chicken and Waffles
There is actually a lot of history behind this dish. There are several different versions of where this originated, from Thomas Jefferson in the 1790s to freed slaves in the late 19th century. It is one of the best known soul dishes around.
The dish became wildly popular with the opening of Roscoe's House of Chicken and Waffles. Gladys Knight and Ron Winans also opened a chain of chicken and waffles restaurants.
All I know is the version I had at Victor Tango's was amazingly delicious. I am still having dreams about it.

Joey!
joey (jō′ē), noun
1. Male with spiked hair, wears only Affliction or TapOut shirts, might be caught wearing white dress shoes, tends to spike his hair super high, talks like he is from long island or jersey (original joeys originate from long island and jersey) thinks very highly of himself, talks in the third person, drinks an exorbitant amount of alcohol, calls his friends bro, looks at himself in every mirror he comes across, "hangs out" at the gym, worries about his calves, wears a hat with a straight bill, thinks every girl wants to sleep with him.
See also tool, frat boy, douche
If you come across a joey in live person, make sure to shout "Joey!" so everyone knows to watch out.
This weekend in Dallas we had a run in with an ultimate Joey. Kathleen shot him down and he decided to yell at us. We handled it appropriately by shouting Joey! and insulting his ridiculous choice of jewelry.

Liz's BHAG
Urban Outfitters was our first stop. 25 minutes in Liz made eye contact with a leather jacket across the room. 45 minutes later she crossed her BHAG off the list!
As we dominated Victor Tangos that evening Liz was looking HOT in her find of the day.
And she even smiled at strangers!
Done and done!
